The Women’s Super League, commonly known as the WSL, is the top tier of professional women’s football in England. Organised by WSL Football, it brings together the clubs competing at the highest level of the English women’s league system in a single-table national championship. Each season, teams compete for the English league title and qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League. A system of promotion and relegation connects the competition with the Women’s Super League 2, the second tier of professional women’s football in England.
