About
The WK League is South Korea’s leading national women’s club football competition. Founded in 2009, it brings together the country’s top teams in a league jointly organised by the Korea Women’s Football Federation and the Korea Football Association. Under its current format, the regular season is followed by a playoff between the second and third-placed teams. The winner then faces the regular-season leader in a two-legged championship final to determine the South Korean champion. The league champion also earns a place in the AFC Women’s Champions League.
