The ScottishPower Women’s Premier League is the top tier of women’s football in Scotland. It brings together the country’s leading women’s clubs in the national championship. The competition begins with a regular home-and-away league phase. Teams are then split into a championship group and a bottom group. The club finishing first is crowned Scottish champion, while the lowest positions are linked to relegation or play-offs with SWPL 2.
