The Women’s Primera División A is the top tier of women’s football in Argentina. Organised by the Argentine Football Association, it brings together the country’s leading clubs in the national championship. Under its current format, the season is divided into two separate competitions: the Apertura tournament and the Clausura tournament. Each is played in a single-table format, with the team finishing at the top crowned champion. The two tournament winners then meet in the Trofeo de Campeonas, which may also determine Argentina’s qualification place for the Copa Libertadores Femenina.
