The Nadeshiko League Division 1 is the top amateur level of women’s football in Japan. It sits below the WE League, Japan’s professional top division, and brings together women’s clubs from different regions of the country. The competition is played in a single league table, with teams facing each other home and away across the season. The club finishing first is crowned Nadeshiko League Division 1 champion.
