About
The Liga Femenil BBVA is the top tier of women’s football in Mexico. It brings together the country’s leading women’s clubs and has become one of the most prominent women’s leagues in the Americas. The competition is played through short tournaments, including the Apertura and Clausura. Each tournament features a regular phase followed by a knockout stage, known as the Liguilla, which determines the Mexican champion.
