Kansallisen Liigan Karsintasarja

The Kansallisen Liigan Karsintasarja is the promotion-relegation stage linking Finland’s women’s top flight, the Kansallinen Liiga, with the second-tier Kansallinen Ykkönen. It brings together the top-flight teams threatened with relegation and the highest-ranked clubs from the second division. The participating teams compete in a double round-robin series, with starting points awarded according to their previous regular-season positions. At the end of the competition, the top two secure places in the Kansallinen Liiga for the following season, while the remaining teams compete in the Kansallinen Ykkönen.
