Kansallinen Liiga

The Kansallinen Liiga is the top tier of women’s football in Finland. Organised by the Football Association of Finland, it brings together the country’s leading women’s clubs in the national championship. Under its current format, the regular season is followed by a championship round involving the six highest-ranked teams, with their previous results and points carried forward. The bottom two enter a promotion-relegation round alongside the leading teams from the Kansallinen Ykkönen. The team finishing first in the championship round is crowned Finnish champion and qualifies for the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
