The ÖFB Frauen Bundesliga is the top tier of women’s football in Austria. Organised by the Austrian Football Association, it brings together the country’s leading women’s clubs in the race for the national title. The competition begins with a regular season played home and away. The best-ranked teams then move into the championship group, while the remaining teams enter the qualification group. The club finishing first in the championship group is crowned Austrian champion, while the bottom team in the qualification group is relegated.
