About
The 1. divisjon kvinner is the second tier of women’s football in Norway. It serves as the gateway to the Toppserien and brings together clubs competing for promotion to the national top flight.
The competition is played in a single league table, with teams facing each other home and away across the season. The best-performing clubs earn direct promotion or a place in the promotion play-offs, while the lowest-ranked teams are relegated to the national third tier.
